The Scottish Government's Population Health Framework focuses on community-based care. OTs are already working across these services to reduce health inequalities, save money and improve outcomes. To grow community-based services, OT must be central to future planning.

🆕Last week we shared the news that Occupational Therapists will be included in the National Social Work Partnership. This is great opportunity for OTs working in Local Authority teams and look forward to working with partners as the partnership develops.

🥳Yesterday I was up in sunny Aberdeen for a celebration and plaque unveiling to mark 100 years since the first qualified occupational therapist in the United Kingdom, Margaret Barr Fulton MBE. Margaret worked at The Aberdeen Royal Asylum, now Royal Cornhill Hospital, from 1925-1963. A true pioneer💚
