In our recent paper, we introduce the new #Pastas groundwater signatures module to characterize the behavior observed in groundwater level time series. This concept is well known in streamflow hydrology, but less in groundwater #hydrology. We describe new opportunities to use in groundwater studies.

Excited to share this paper led my Martin Vonk that was 3 years in the making. Designing new models is cool, but showing that they work through extensive benchmarking and represent physical systems well is perhaps more important. #hydrology #groundwater
