I haven’t tested it yet, but I get similar vibes from this. I feel like the abundance of card draw makes this a very strong ramp source, and a four toughness flyer can prevent a lot of chip damage.

Further thoughts! When the pros are “sweet art” and the cons are “this is a conditional Phyrexian Arena”, maybe it’s time to build Bracket 1? Include all generations of Dragonclaws, cards that reference them, depict them, etc. Punch bears! I’m generally curious how you’d build bracket 1.

I feel like design has settled on “free value” as the overlap for those three colors. The only build I’ve been happy with is an Averna topdeck manipulation deck. Gaining some control over the randomness is fun!

My group plays primarily in bracket two, bleeding over into three, and I still find myself focused primarily on 2- and 3-drops in the 99. Even sticking with budget cards, they can fill out a deck pretty easily.

Receipts on Obliterator. Looking at the art, apparently an Obliterator is just a Negator without a chin spike?

I recently played an untrusted, ”bracket 2” game with a player who didn’t realize that his deck included at least four GC’s. We still played a second game and had a good time. If that guy had dropped a Vorinclex? Automatic scoop and ask him to find a different table.

I think the thing that got lost is that, if you’re deciding whether a card is banned in bracket two, there are two axes that matter: power, but also *misery*.

I regard these changes as pretty strong evidence that Gavin doesn’t realize that the second axis exists.
