For my birthday week in July my BFF and I spent a few days hiking various spots near/on the coast, including the east side of Pinnacles National Park.
We saw SO MUCH wildlife there, but the coolest was this barn owl we accidentally startled.

I'd say this was a jumpscare, but this is what my ceiling looks like because a landlord didn't install fire sprinklers until almost 7 years after they bought the place.
That "dirt" is ancient blow-in insulation that they dumped all over my apartment.
