Hometown Heroes event in Port Orford, OR was a really fun time! Met some folks, sold some rocks, bought the most beautiful loaf of sourdough I’ve ever encountered. (Seriously.)

Aren’t we cute? 2 Rock Nerds booth, with our original crazy agate banner because we haven’t gotten a new RCK HND one yet. It hides the top of our “10x10” canopy which clearly isn’t actually ten feet wide grr. It is still a drizzly morning at this point. So many flats of polished specimens and lovely agates for sale, polished by us (mostly Danielle.) Yes I took a portrait-setting photo of this beautiful sourdough boule with leaf patterns cut into the sides, don’t judge me. It smelled and tasted INCREDIBLE.

While I rebuild our website (because the checkout inexplicably didn't work, SORRY, SO SORRY), let me show off a new feature we're proud to offer: custom laser engraving on your Estwing tool of choice! Shown here is my new engraved Burpee Pick (a smaller version of the Geo/Paleo Pick, with magnets!)
The Estwing Burpee Pick, a small one-handed version of a bladed pick axe. The hand tool is powder-coated in blue metallic paint over stainless steel, with a rubberized textured blue handle. The Estwing logo is rendered in bare stainless steel surrounded by the blue paint. It's shockingly pretty for a geology tool. Another I’m pleased with, companion to the first sticker, I Love Agate! Painted and created as a Valentine’s Day gift for members of my local rock club (I’m the president, our members meeting was on VDay), it’s a fun sticker and anyway, who doesn’t love agates?!

It’s been an interesting winter (read: unexpected equipment upgrades), but the good news is, better fancier printer = BETTER FANCIER STICKERS.

This is a sample of what’s coming to the shop, on CLEAR VINYL with gloss UV coating!
A fan of four-inch vinyl stickers with styled stacked text that reads “agate licker”. The letters are outlined in black, and the words are filled with a background of peach and white agate, the banded pattern flows continuously across the letters. The banding is mostly horizontal across the word “agate” and bends diagonally downward to the right across the first few letters of “licker”, with a solid peach/orange center filling the rest of the word. Light reflects off the top of the sticker, showing the glossy top layer.
