Definitely eyeing me up, though.

I did also have this on my roll today (but not no 6).
"Sick As A Parrot" by Karen Fawcett Studios. This is a photograph of a scarlet macaw made in ceramic, lying on its back with its eye barely open. The bird has a thermometer in its break, a failed covid test in its claws and is surrounded by packs of pain killers.

The library at Chatsworth 🤩

I've always fancied a library and a chapel in my own home: this would just about do as a library!

I think I've grown out of these ambitions, however!
Photograph looking into the end doors of a dark room. The curtains in the left wall are all closed to protect the contents. There is a rich tapestried carpet with a blue circular design in the open centre. The walls are lined with dark wood bookcases. The room is listed with desks and chairs, some white-shaded lamps and two yellow-shaded lamps. The ceiling has richly decorated gilt-edged panels, wholly reminiscent to me of a French palace.

Maybe not for long but there's a theme to it...
The theme will run across the day, with a Trump impersonator taking over from the Channel 4 continuity announcers, to deliver false information -- from misleading programme synopses to exaggerated runtimes -- as a sobering reminder of what can happen when once-trusted sources of truth cannot be relied upon.

I should say all fruit! We have a crab apple tree that has been weighed down with fruit for weeks and my in-laws have a plum tree that was even earlier and heavily laden.

It has been a great fruit year: obviously *enough* rain here but much hotter and longer summer than usual.

Preparing for paintball battle.

The photograph is mono but my recollection is that the helmet was black, anyway. I've simply moved to mono to remove the skin and background colour. 2017

My Dad's neighbour has apples on his tree and isn't eating them. But I think they look like the ones the evil queen gave to Snow White, which has made me read the story of the Seven Dwarfs,

which I think is a perfect allegory for modern day scammers! Beware!

How's your garden? Mine is parched but the crab apple tree is fully laden with fruit, its branches almost touching the ground.

My wife hates the tree for the fruit it drops but I think it has done so well this summer that it looks entirely MAJESTIC.

When you're waiting in a queue and keep getting to no 2 in the queue but your mobile phone provider disconnects you because the call has taken too long to answer.

Guess what time they're open 'til? It wasn't Leics County Council that cut off any of the calls, just my mobile provider: "timed out"

Are we ok with paintings or drawing occasionally? Just photos?

For example, the first thing I've found in my photos is a snap of one of my drawings: a young man with short dreadlocks. He looks like he's sitting next to an open fire because of the colouring.

What do we think? Honest question.
