I think the big networks are largely oligarch owned at this point. They’ve been both sidesing for years and at the ownership level, the responsibilities of the 4th estate aren’t a consideration. It’s more likely they coordinate how to aid the autocracy with odd oppo story to look independent.

I like to use the word Police to refer to the people who stop bad guys. I don’t think we should use that word to describe what ICE does.

Agree with this. If we get the chance, legislative priority should go to strengthening those bulwarks, including an independent press. All other problems can be worked after that.
