I finally watched Casablanca and was absolutely astounded by how great it was. I noticed the difference in filmmaking, dialogue, pacing etc., but it is legitimately a masterpiece. I’m such a pain about movies and almost always watch for escapist entertainment; Casablanca changed me for the better.
