It’s not just EDF. Most of the main groups are constructions of foundations. They have no political power, as demonstrated by what is happening to EPA and NOAA.

The co-optation of the environmental movement has been going on since the early 1980s when Bruce Harrison developed his plan to control environmental concerns. We are now seeing the end result of the corporate takeover of environmentalism.

 This polling does not address saliency of climate change versus other issues. The Gallup data is the only survey. I know that does that for decades it is consistently shown that climate is not considered among the top priority issues.
