What I can’t fault Ohba for is that he’s pretty good at creating a foundation for a character and what makes them tick even if it’s stupid and overwrought. #DNbs

Yeah this kind of backstory “makes sense” for Mikami. It really is humorous that Light is the only one without a stereotypical backstory for his ego. He just sucks. He had a cop daddy and came from a life of privilege. #DNbs
