A similar approach to this is extremely useful when working in React Native as well. Adding borders to things helped me debug issues involving safe areas, weird padding behaviors, etc.

I had been tinkering with ViewTransition recently after seeing it in someone's repo, but had trouble without any sort of docs to reference. I took a peek at the PR that added it, but personally found it a bit daunting to follow 😅
