In this study, Kuang and colleagues demonstrate that the combination of endometrioma aspiration and sclerotherapy and dienogest-primed ovarian stimulation (DPOS) IVF-ET therapy is an effective approach for reducing the size of endometriomas.

Data from a very large number of endometriosis and non-endometriosis cases, evaluating a total of 205,978 oocytes, shows that endometriosis and adenomyosis do not affect the oocyte morphology and oocyte quality.

A clinically relevant number of PQBs are euploid, PQBs can result in live births and euploid transfer is associated with lower miscarriage rates. In combination, this suggests that PQBs should not be routinely discarded, particularly if they are prior-tested using PGT-A.

This work reflects real clinical practice, presenting a proof of concept methodology that IVF centres may employ to establish their own thresholds which after validation, can be used for patient counselling and to facilitate the workload of the IVF laboratory.
