BBC violated one of the cardinal sins of news reporting, something that even a cub reporter would know not to do. It was pointed out in meetings, but they chose to ignore concerns. And it was their own people who shed light on the wrongdoing. Davie and Turness both stepped down rather than be fired.

When you jump cut a video, you can create a scene and narrative that didn't actually exist. I saw the entire speech live and while his language was intense, he never veered into insurrection territory. The BBC tried to craft this narrative and got caught. Their own ppl snitched on them.

No. That's a partisan take on the situation and reality is 180 degrees away. This is exactly why people are abandoning the Left and moving more to the right.

No doubt another oppty for more political posturing by both sides with nothing of real substance getting done.

What about the BBC altering footage to create a scene that wasn't accurate? Whether Trump is a buffoon is irrelevant. Lost trust in media plays into his narrative about media bias.

They'll need defensive drone swarms to protect rescuers when out in the open. My guess is this is too complicated to pull off without help of Western allies.

I am exasperated at how weak and feckless Western leaders have been in response to Russian aggression. Had Biden just flooded the area with US troops when Russia's buildup began, there never would have been an invasion. Instead, Biden said a limited incursion would be fine. What a dummy!

Probably just using it as a smokescreen. The real reason is MAGA world wants payback for the Venezuelan gangs that were garnering so many headlines in the leadup to the 2024 election. This may be one of the reasons Trump wants to make nice with Putin and keep Russia from protecting an ally.

Sad how Trump thinks he can negotiate away parts of Ukraine all in an effort to do some sort of deal with the evil empire. Business deals at the cost of freedom, only not his freedom.

War crimes!

One of the big problems with Trump is it is hard to tell whether or not he's destroying trust with allies on purpose. Lost trust in US leadership will impact the dollar as reserve currency, then the US could see its economy collapse as a result. So, big worries for me.

This "well educated, intelligent woman" was queen of word salad and was forced on the electorate after the Democrat party and its supporters in the press tried to hide the fact that Biden was suffering severely from dementia (or something similar). Plus so much more in actions that lost trust.
March 26, 2025 at 8:12 AM
Yeah, pretty much my sentiments, but when you consider what he was running against, it was a choice between two evils. I couldn't bring myself to vote for either major party for president. I just hope real leadership emerges before it is too late, if it is not already.

Sadly, I think it has to do with a lack of alternative plus the MAGA cult that gives him the edge in Republican primaries. The Democrats tried to push Biden and later Harris, both of who failed to inspire and actually turned off some traditional Democrat voters.

Trump seems bent on the USA having no friends.

All I can do is shake my head at the weak leadership coming from my country, the EU, and NATO. They should have boots on the ground and planes in the air to assist Ukraine.

Russian military sure does know how to murder innocent civilians.

They'll never get the budget under control with the chaotic approach they're taking. A thoughtful approach across all areas is what's needed but DOGE seems more like a sideshow than anything substantive.

To deny that lies emanate quite frequently from the Leftwing as well is to be dishonest or at least disingenuous. And whether or not one is a practicing Christian, it would be wise to heed the words "thou shall not bear false witness" and "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Bernie got hosed back in 2016 by party leadership. If he had been the nominee, I think Trump would have lost.
