I’m not commenting on image generation here - more thinking of ways to use AI to constructively address issues artists run into online/in general. Artists should learn to use AI to our benefit, even as it introduces new challenges.

…and for all women who believe in themselves enough to push boundaries and embrace the challenge of living up to our dreams.

Keep pushing, keep dreaming, keep climbing for a life of dignity and achievement!

Perhaps the fact that AI trains on output from many humans makes it a sort of “collective consciousness” that will feel more relational as it progresses

Also I think maybe we artists aren’t yet sure how to think about shifting our role from technical expertise toward directorship over AI tools, which is more the convo in radiology. Takes out the joy of the craft as we know it, though.

Interesting thoughts. I think art differs from, say, radiology in that it is explicitly communicative - one mind connecting with another through artistic media. There’s an expressive and experiential aspect, impossible to quantify, but it matters immensely to those of us sensitive to it.

Lovely! I experimented with carbon dust a couple summers ago and loved how soft and luminant it makes things look!
