The King has played a role in the public life for a third of Canada’s existence. He has known 10 of our Prime Ministers and Govenrors General and multiple premiers. This will be the first visit where Charles will take part in a constitutional or parliamentary role as Sovereign.

This is absolutely not happening. Some commonwealth organization is inviting Americans to join their group. Ludicrous story.

No the chief justice is not the PM following a resignation. The post is vacant briefly until the swearing in of a new PM.
