This entire article will make your skin crawl. The final line by the authors is perfect though.

Delaware football is playing Colorado in the first FBS v. FBS matchup in school history. QB just got smushed and lost his helmet. Welcome to the big leagues...

With everything going on, it's nice to spend time in the lab and get to work with my students here in @udelaware.bsky.social FINCH Lab. We've been working all summer to get our oxide MBE up and running. As of today, we're ready to bake out the system and get back into film growth. Great week! ⚛️🧪

Our dog made a new friend on her walk this morning. Bit of a one-sided relationship though.

Orioles closers from some very bad teams.

A scenic view inside and out of FINCH Lab at @udelaware.bsky.social. Our MBE has completed the journey from Auburn to Newark and seen its first snow. ⚛️🧪❄️

This is a great post from @nanoscaleviews.bsky.social. The impact of han psychology--particularly its limitations--on how we consume the news is enormous. I had a longer response to the post on his blog that I'll share here as well.

I like to imagine a grad student sitting underneath and tuning the pass energy on the analyzer. Students these days have it too easy with computer control on instruments. 🧪⚛️

One of the fun parts of building a new research lab is scavenging the old vacuum hardware on campus to see if you strike gold (i.e. stainless steel) that you can use. Other times you find something very unexpected. Take a guess at what's behind the front panel. Answer in next post. 🧪⚛️
