Idea for a game level. The Burger monster was created from a ChatGPT picture and then generated using MeshyAI. I needed to adjust the original mesh a little and am still fixing the original armature. The fast-food restaurant was extruded from an AI picture.

Worked a bit on Dinosaur models an animations today. I was able to add a simple algorithm for rotating the neck and tail bones by calculating the delta in rotation of the main as the navigation system moved them.

More fun with dinosaurs. Working on a walking animation but the back legs still aren't moving right. As an experiment tried to get an AI to animate it but it didn't work.

Fixing the texturing for the Gang leader character, I think this looks a bit better than yesterday. Still need to clean it up though with the new UV map texture transfer trick I learned recently.

Finally figured out how to transfer textures from one UV map to another. Used that method to fix texturing applied mostly through project from view unwrapping by using bisect to create a single horizontal seam for the cat character.

Created gaming assets from my background picture of an Alien City. Only have four types of buildings right now but plan to add more later. Need to reduce vertex count and improve textures.

Saw an indie movie I really liked that incorporated Lovecraftian-like creatures into it and later thought to myself "You really need to see if you can work an evil interdimensional octopus creature and a chainsaw into your game". 😅🤣Trying that now…

Version v2 of an enemy in the game. This time I tried animating it with Meshy ai after I created it and good pretty good results. But I think I'm going to go back and use Mixamo later as I'd like use some of the combat animations there. Really liking Meshy AI!

Worked on a ship model for my game and experimented with texturing. For wood, the default reflectivity in blender might have been a bit high and at 1.0 things looked a little better. Got some nice texturing from ChatGPT. Am still working on the rigging and sails.

With helpful feedback and by studying more Dragon Model animations on YouTube I now think pure bat-like motions aren't quite right. I'm now trying to do animations that look a little like a cross between bat and bird wing motions.

Experimenting with AI tools. I took an old picture that I generated with meshes when I was first learning to use Blender3d, that didn't look very good, made it more realistic with ChatGPT and then animated it used Kling 2.0. It came out pretty good - I'm amazed at what AI can do.

Still researching mesh generation by AI. I am finding that buildings, because many services use noise generation as part of the process of creating the vertices for the models, end up with far more vertices than necessary. Figuring out techniques to help.

Am try to build a small town of Edo period Japanese buildings using Meshy AI. I discovered there's an NVIDIA tool that can reduce the vertex count in whole blender scenes so I'm using that as well. It should be an add-on in blender 4.5 when it releases.

Worked on a mesh for a Japanese Pagoda today. I got the initial mesh from MeshyAI - it's the smaller mesh - but the vertices for many pieces were twisted a bit. So I copied the roof mesh from the AI mesh and created new rectangular and cylindrical beams.😀
