Our biology and ability to suffer is more similar to other animals than not. Irrelevant differences in humans like race, gender, & sex have forever been used to justify harm. Species is another arbitrary moral line.

Great video, RIP to Paul. I agree guns haven't gotten easier to buy & WHY people misuse them is overlooked. I think the exploding wealth inequality and difficulty securing housing, healthcare, careers, etc. since the 80's indicates why people are much more desperate & hopeless now, leading to misuse

I live surrounded by farmland and my family grows plants professionally. Plant ag isn't benign, but far less environmentally impactful. In the midwest, most of the corn and soy grown here goes to animal feed anyways.

The LOWEST emission beef farms still produce far more GHGs than nearly all vegan protein sources. We need to stop abusing and killing animals for food we can get more efficiently directly from plants.

You don't need to give up variety or flavor to show respect to farm animals. You could try new plants and recipes every day and never run out of vegan food to try.

Our economy has been a lot more unstable since we got off the gold standard but deficits don't necessarily drive inflation. Trump ran an increasing deficit each year in office and inflation didn't spike until the pandemic + greedflation in 2020/2021.
