Seeing this lower-effort piece become my most liked post on here has made me realize that drawing your OCs actually doing something is way more appealing to people than simply drawing the designs in isolation

Ok, genuine question. How do you actually have fun making art instead of seeing it as a means to be validated by strangers and friends?

No*. I think with most games, you can have, at most, a superficial enjoyment of them without playing them. You're missing a crucial part of the art form that you wouldn't be able to appreciate without playing. One isn't invalid for liking certain aspects of a game though despite not playing it.
Can you still be a fan of a game, if you've only watched it, and never played it yourself?
