Especially the way he used beautifully designed double page spreads to tell that story as well.

It's a classic episode and one of my favourites. I have an excellently packaged boxset of the series on DVD that I bought over 20 years ago. Am treating myself to an upgrade, the remastered 60th anniversary Blue Ray box set.

Classic silver age Supes! Such a great story that I read and reread many times as it was reprinted in this great 100 pager which is one of the 1st ever comics kid me bought off the spinner rack 😊 I got it from my favourite corner shop at the time, a tobacconist/sweetshop very near where I lived.

I loved Omac! So many ground breaking ideas from Jack in that series! Omac and Kamandi were the 1st time kid me was able to buy Kirby comics as they were released new on the spinner rack as opposed to as back issues. The image on the cover of #1 fascinated and freaked me out as a kid. Brilliant!

My birthday a couple of days ago. Received this lovely tome as a pressie. Neal Adams was the 1st pro I ever met at a signing he did at Forbidden Planet in London in '79. Growing up I didn't attend cons. I queued up for 2 hours. To young me it was like meeting God. Awestruck. He was a real gent.

That wasn't my first, but that is an incredible one to start with Ande! I bought it on release and kid me was blown away by that Toth story! Plus as you say, Manhunter, and all those great reprints!

Great comic that I bought as a kid on release. I love Kirby's 1st Issue Special comics. This, Manhunter, and of course The Dingbats of Danger Street.

Yes that's right! I forgot about those. #24 was a Deadman story as well. He had a real affinity for the character. Lovely art as you say.
