It is now the second day that the leadership of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sibghatullah Shahjee, Bebarg Zehri, Beebow Baloch, and Gulzadi Baloch, remain on hunger strike inside detention cells. 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝗴𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗷𝗲𝗲, a fearless voice of the Baloch resistance, lives on a single kidney. Yet he never let his failing health silence his voice against Baloch genocide. Today, his body bears the weight of both the struggle and state repression. Every hour without food, every passing moment, threatens the only kidney he has left. 𝗕𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗴 𝗭𝗲𝗵𝗿𝗶, whose body was shattered by a security forces blast at a cultural event in 2010, still rose in defiance. Disabled but unbroken, he stood for the Baloch people. In jail, he is sick again. His weak immunity has left him vulnerable. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵, the organizer of BYC, is being mentally tortured by the state. Day after day, they pressure her to sign papers disbanding the peaceful movement she helped build—papers to silence the voice of a people rising against genocide. She refuses. Two days ago, they tortured her. Today, she starves in resistance. 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵, our young female activist, was dragged from Hudda Jail by force. Her screams were silenced. For a day, no one knew where she was. Then we learned she had been brought in Pishin District Jail, under constant surveillance. A camera watches even her washroom. She is on hunger strike. 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝘇𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵, another young voice for justice, remains in Hudda Jail, Quetta. She too was brutally beaten. She too refuses food. She too resists. It is no longer just a national crisis. Enforced disappearances have become daily routine in Makran, with students, ordinary people, & teachers being abducted & disappeared leaving their families traumatized. A recent case is that of Hassan Baloch, who was abducted by law enforcement agencies from his Karachi residence on Feb 5, 2025.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Chaghi Zone organized a corner meeting in Chaghi and Aminabad today, to mobilize people for the Baloch Genocide Remembrance Day at January 25, at Dalbandin . The event was attended by BYC central member Dr. Sabiha Baloch. A large number of people gathered at the corner meeting. In her address, Dr. Sabiha Baloch said that the Pakistani state is committing genocide against the Baloch people through various means, including target killings, enforced disappearances, infrastructure killings, border restrictions, and epidemics like cancer. She emphasized that this oppression must be stopped and urged the people to join the national movement and strengthen it. Dr. Sabiha Baloch paid tribute to the mothers for their courage and martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the movement. She stressed that the unity and organization of the nation are crucial for the success of the movement. The Karachi Police and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have launched a violent crackdown on peaceful Baloch citizens and members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). The BYC had planned a mobilization campaign in Liyari, leading up to an event on January 25 in Dalbandin.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) strongly condemns the atrocities committed by the Coast Guard against border dwellers and impoverished Baloch fuel carriers. Yesterday, a tragic incident unfolded in Panwan Jewani, District Gwadar, where the paramilitary force Coast Guard opened fire directly on a vehicle carrying fuel. Fortunately, the driver survived, but the vehicle was burned to ashes. In response, the residents of Panwan resisted this brutality by blocking the main road. Although the Coast Guard and local administration promised concessions to the locals, leading to a delay in the protest, more than 24 hours have passed, and these promises remain unfulfilled. It is a well recognized reality that the people of Balochistan lack economic incentives and a basic economic structure. They are heavily reliant on border trade, which has long been an integral part of Baloch culture. The region is mired in poverty, with the majority of the population living below the poverty line. In such dire circumstances, where many struggle to afford even two meals a day, state atrocities and oppression only exacerbate their suffering. On a daily basis, border dwellers face humiliation and torture, violating their fundamental rights to income and sustainability. BYC stands firmly with the border community and advocates for peaceful trade opportunities for every Baloch individual dependent on border. The genocidal policies manifesting as unlawful cruelty and barbarism must be brought to an end. #StopBalochGenocide

Karachi Police and law enforcement agencies have brutally attacked the peaceful protest of BYC at Karachi PC. They have baton-charged and dispersed the peaceful protestors. Several protestors, including the deputy organiser of BYC, Abdul Wahab, have been tortured and arrested during the protest.
