I had a long conversation with a friend of mine who deeply holds this worldview and is also deeply mentally unwell, and this is what I picked up from what they said

I think the biggest thing is that this worldview only sees the negatives in the world, and see them as things that are their personal problems to fix - then becomes disheartened and disillusioned when that is impossible to accomplish

Also I feel no need to make it when there’s plenty already out there. Making it seems like a cool hobby but a lot of work when I can just get it easily. Just like drugs
