Starlink fills a huge gap for remote areas. I am not aware of any other reliable competition. Are there other viable satellite options? Someone with a remote cabin, Explornet has a long way to go to be able to provide a comparable service.

Don't worry. All our allies hate us now, but Vladimir Putin is giddy that Trump is in charge and he is already manipulating him into starting a clash with NATO so he can take over Europe.

Agreed - replacing all bureaucrats with loyalists, methodically bringing media to heal by buying, suing or exclusion and enriching himself. Elections will be his and musk’s to rig, starting with ‘26 midterms. By ‘28 the US will be Russia. He will have Putin-like pop. vote #s his ego will insist.

Yup - all the foxes are in the hen house and the feast is on! It is all about siphoning as much money as possible to enrich themselves.
