So no, I don’t think Harbaugh is a bad coach. I think he’s a fantastic coach who’s done a lot of great things here and met or exceeded expectations. But do I think he’s the right fit right now? No. And that’s why I think it’s time for a change.

Ali has developed and that’s great, but there’s no reason that couldn’t have happened on a practice squad, especially when it comes at the expense of your most explosive player in camp outside of your stars.

Dannell Ellerbe, Orlando Brown Jr, Emory Jones. Alex Collins had more juice than the backs ahead of him but had to wait for opportunities. This year it was Keaton being inactive instead of Ali.

I don’t think a coaching change is some magical cure all. But when you see the same issues pop up year after year, it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t bear a large share of the responsibility.

Sticking with veterans who clearly aren’t getting it done over younger players with upside isn’t new here.

San Francisco moved on from Jim Harbaugh and found Kyle Shanahan. Bad organizations are the ones that hang on too long, and eventually you can’t hide a bad front office no matter who the coach is. As Billick once said, you get hired in the NFL to get fired. That’s just the reality of it.

People love to bring up Andy Reid in Philly and then Kansas City, but even in situations where a good coach is replaced by a worse one, good organizations recognize the mistake and correct it quickly. Philly moved on from Doug Pederson and landed Sirianni.

Even Suggs said earlier this year, and I’m paraphrasing, that it’s on the players and you can’t turn chicken shit into caviar. That said, I do think every coach’s message eventually gets stale. Jimmy Johnson talked about that years ago. No matter who the coach is, at some point the voice wears thin.

That wasn’t a coaching failure. That was a player not making a play. I’m not trying to crush Wiggins for it, but over the course of Harbaugh’s tenure there really haven’t been many games where you can say the team was flat out unprepared.

To give him credit for anything he has done over his tenure. At the same time they’re quick to pin blame on him for things that may not actually be his responsibility. Last night is a perfect example. That game is a win if Wiggins makes the interception exactly as it was drawn up.

By the end of the 3rd quarter, they were on the field for 29 mins and that was entirely due to the Ravens offense either not sustaining drives or turning the ball over as soon as they got the ball back.

This team is a wild card exit if they make the playoffs. Divisional round if they're lucky.

Lack of leadership. The second they are down they get defeated. Lamar is very clearly playing hurt and the suspect playcalling remains suspect. Defense was actually fine today until the dam broke because they were hung out to dry from the awful turnovers.
