That’s fair but we all knew why, and I advocated for it personally. If one of our players were going to get hurt it needed to be in Europe not the league. So I excuse it in a way that I can’t this early in a season when we were sitting in 3rd

I know things weren’t perfect under Ange but I don’t remember players regressing the way I feel like they are this season. Maybe it’s selective memory. Or having Maddison to make everyone better but players with less pedigree than our current squad looked so much more threatening last season
