Gone are the days of podcasters hosting their own video. YouTube took that spot and it was never financially viable for podcasters to maintain. So if Apple really wants it to work, gonna need an upload button ;)

This is very cool tech BUT yikes, it feels like a rewind to the days of hosting audio on S3, except with video it's 10x the danger of waking up to a massive hosting bill! Seems hard to imagine this beating out YouTube for 99% of podcasters. But as a viewer, I'd love the option.

What if you have the bulk sum of that investment (100k) to invest now? Do you still dollar cost avg your way in, drop it all in or spread it out over various funds? What’s the best way to make up for the years you weren’t investing but just saving?

Don't agree that anything is bound to happen or that it's happening at all. People may not be talking about RSS, they're weren't ever meant to, but podcasts as a media type, are thriving. It's fine to have your podcast on YouTube and even encouraged but the creator should understand the differences

The conversation is evolving, RSS doesn't have to be the focus, but if it truly becomes less relevant, that's bad for creators. But since we're (U.S.) also tossing the constitution into the garbage, why not open protocols too. Creators who ignore history, will lose in the long run.

Fact: podcasts require rss.
Spirit: podcasts = shows.

Creators needs to understand the facts. Audience only needs to know there’s a show.

If you’re a creator who doesn’t understand the importance of the rss element, your show can suffer. Simple.

How you talk about it depends on the audience.

The whole ballgame, this whole time, has been them being in power for more than 4 years. And every day they further that plan and yet it's not something I'm seeing being covered enough. Or worse, pundits brush it off. If we don't have free and fair elections next time, it really is...over.

v i d e o. Where are the videos? It's much more real when everyone can see it happening. Everyone in proximity has an amazing video cam in their pocket. Flood the zone with visuals. cmon.
