Interested in new tech, renewables, investment, and generally making the world a better place. Very into energy and energy storage tech.
Underground power? If the whole suburb is out, how does it help?

Not clear skies, though. The halo is a result of thin high-level cirrus or cirrostratus clouds composed of ice crystals. It is a great photo.

2nd of January, and NYE.

So, 2 days before.

And, the pharmacology suggested no impairment to psychomotor skill or capacity at the time of the crash.

Easier with a pencil, my failing memory recalls.

Cirrus and cirrocumulus. There is even a little irisation in the cirrocumulus near the sun.
Very nice.

Probably because the average Aussie gains nothing from higher energy prices unless they own shares in Woodside or Santos or similar?

Called a halo, most commonly seen through a thin layer of cirrostratus cloud. Both sun and bright moon can produce this effect.

Charge all vehicles the same road pricing per kg*km and keep fossil fuel excise as an incentive to convert to EV?

This is an international problem. Budgets are not funding quality observations, so you end up with GIGO.
AI is not the solution.

Or just charge your EV using solar panels. Much more convenient.

I was chatting to an off-grid remote pastoralist who was strongly opposed to renewable energy, and I mentioned that it might save him a lot of money in diesel.
He replied "Oh yes, we have solar at the homestead".
Can't reason with stupid.

Yes, 878 is insane. This storm will make a very big mess. Get to your evacuation centres people.

Dived with many species of sharks many times. Only once was it on a baited dive. I did not particularly enjoy the baited dive. Sharks behave very differently when they are in "food" mode.
Much more pleasant diving with the chilled out creatures that they normally are.

Not unique, but very pretty. Often referred to as altocumus of mackerel sky. Looks particularly impressive at sunrise or sunset when it is vivid orange.
