I would say that your man looks like the idiot dipsh*t Leo Devoe from Get Shorty, but that's an insult to the great actor David Paymer who played him. (Swear to G-d I didn't realize that there would be a photo of pretty much the exact same outfit Rob Schneider was wearing, when I wrote the post.)

Great interview, which kinda answers a question I always had: did writing as Stark again inspire the darkness of The Ax, or did the darkness of The Ax unlock Richard Stark? Apparently it was the latter.

My favourite version of White Christmas is the Otis Redding. Takes a melancholic song and turns it into a "I lost my girl and I'm sad and lonely but because I still love her I'm wishing her a Merry Christmas" ballad. Brilliant. youtu.be/a0x6LFRi3rs

40 years ago, in Grade 6 we spent a week at the Island School, leaning about the environment. One night we went for a walk and we ended up with a view of the coastline. Still remember it. Aside from the CN/Bay St. Towers it was flat and beautiful. Now it would be so cluttered, a wall of towers.

I always saw Coldplay as Radiohead for people who thought Radiohead got weird after The Bends.

I guess American supremacy is so engrained in the culture that it doesn't even raise a contrary thought. (Post 5 of 5). cc: @unclearpod.bsky.social @jamellebouie.net
