My apartment complex just switched to an "online only" payment system that required me to sign up for a $9.00/month Credit building service in my lease and just told me to cancel it on the site immediately and now I see there's a $3 fee for paying rent through your bank account or $35 through card.

For the most part it's really nice working with a team of people who are predominantly my age or younger, but I do feel like at times I get treated differently because they think I am "special."

After nearly a decade working in a nursing home I lost sight of its main benefit; that there will always be a job in that section of the industry because the people have to eat. Now that I've been out in the regular industry for the last 3 years and facing restaurant closure I miss that.
