By far my favourite part of this chart is that the Marlins just lost 100 games, just had one of the worst offseasons ever recorded, and projections think they could do it all over again and the Rockies still might be worse.

The difference column is for pre-offseason projections vs post-offseason projections. So the general increase across the board is due to FA being signed and things like that. Nothing to do with last season actual WAR totals.

I saw that, I'm still confused though because not every strike zone is 22 inches tall. Is it just a simplification to get the general idea?

For what it's worth, WPA is Mariano 55 to deGrom 24. Not generally the first stat I look at in HOF cases but is definitely relevant when talking about relievers.
