Assistant Professor, Political Science, Jackson State University, MS. Interested most in urban politics and policy, state and local govt. Longtime photo person. Pop culture enthusiast of sorts.
His first big thing was the development of a professor watch list (still a TPUSA thing), which led to firings over views that didn't conform to the far right's.

The swamp helps clean the environment, and as such gets a bad rap, too often drained to the detriment of all. This comes from a polluted high plane.

I had a full, thick beard last year. I had to scope the trim scene. Anyway, someone needs to take Hegseth through the Smithsonian’s presidential portrait gallery, and discuss when and why beards went in and out of fashion (invention of the safety razor and its marketing, say). What about wigs?

The way you phrased it is that disabled people should pay more, and not everyone else. I think DoorDash is bad for restaurants too, which is why I avoid it. But I doubt that grocery delivery people are paid much more. Tipping should be included in cost, but that's true of all tipping.

I never use food delivery services, but grocery delivery is necessary for me right now due to MS, and I tip well. It's necessary for more people than you'd imagine. I love the "they should pay much more" argument. As punishment, what?

I’ve wondered that myself. Googled her, and saw that she was interviewed a few times over this past year for an essay on public servants. Yes, hope we get more from her soon.

Waking up from a weekend that included a long ER visit. Unhurt. Ends up I was horribly sleep deprived and unaware until a doc’s suggestion the week before. I’d already been eating well, so more arugula wasn’t going to do the trick. New meds and practical advice? Working thus far. Bah to misinfo.

JD Vance is a disturbing or bizarre quote machine. No American politician’s success has ever made less sense to me.

Murdoch owns the NY Post, not the Daily News.
