Here's the semi-final result of my pumpkin carved Demon King from The Owl House.
I noticed his eyes look like spectacles, I also need to carve deeper where his whiskers are, his arms, legs & the tail nearly dissappears in the dark so I'll see if I can correct that tomorrow.

Demon King from The Owl House carved into a pumpkin Halloween 2025. The horns and fangs are much brighter than everything else which looks so dark it's hard to see due to me getting tired and not carving deep enough where his eyes are, the arms and legs, the tail etc. So I will try to fix that tomorrow.

So, I discovered The Owl House recently thanks to my youngest teen and had to try and carve their favorite character (demon) King... Mistakes were made during the process but I've learned a lot and will make another pumpkin later 😅

At the top of the pumpkin is a plastic bag with regular pumpkin carving tools, two electric tea candles at the left of the plastic bag. To the right of the pumpkin there's a plate with pumpkin seeds and scraped out pumpkin remains, and below that a small sharp kitchen knife, a tape dispencer with tape, some used kitchen paper towels. At the left on the wooden table is the printed copy of the King reference picture so I can see which depth I should cut the various layers in. In the center is the orange pumpkin now showing some of the cutting progress, like the horns have been cut all the way through because I want them to be the brightest colour, same with his mask fangs and one of the eyes reference image has been cut out to show where the right eye will be carved. To the right are some tools scattered. After 3 days of interupted carving, paused for several hours at a time by sleep, dinner, chores and trick or treaters getting candy by the door, it's finally showing some serious progress... It's my first King carving so I'm somewhat happy with it haha. I did notice it eyes look like spectacles, but I'll see if I can remove the middle shadow tomorrow and hope that makes a difference.

Finally done with the photos of the Blood Moon from September 9th. I was experimenting with the ISO settings and the whole session probably took 1.5 hours or more, and first I went to a place where it turns out the moon wasn't visible! The quality is still awfull :D

Got home half an hour ago taking pictures of the blood moon, unfortunately my tripod is broken so I leaned on the side a tree instead. This is a really crappy version 😁 taken with my phone from my Nikon display. I'll post more in better quality tomorrow when I have the time.

Finally home at 3am after the last day of Way Out West Fedtival 2025. Chappell Roan... Oh wow. Wow. WOW! So worth the wait and the hell it was driving to and from Gothenburg (I LOATHE driving in big cities, but had to or we would've been stranded there due to the train schedules). So, so worth it! 🥳

I did eventually find the churros, they're good - hot, crispy and soft inside, worth the 90 sek I spent on them 😋 However, I DO think 155 sek for one portion of food is ridiculously high. I opted to buy a tiny bag of mixed nuts instead though it cost 40 sek...

Oh wow! I just came home from my very first The Corrs concert at Liseberg in Gothenburg. It was amazing! Excellent combination of violin, flute, drums, keyboard, guitar, bas and powerful singing!Thank you all! 🥳🙌🙏

Soon eye surgery due to retinal detachment in my left eye. This happened to me with my right eye two years ago. Sigh. Send happy pics of Fragon Age characters and dramatic skies while I wait. 🙏

A few more foggy pictures, an ... unusual lunch and a picture from the car driving home, promising better weather but that was just to fool us (the fog followed us all the way home and stayed for days!) 😲

I ordered Risotto with fried mushrooms, but honestly to me it looks like brown tarantula legs adorning the risotto (which was too al dente for my taste). Unfortunately the sun lost the battle with the clouds, so the further home we got, the denser the fog... Here's a smidgen of blue sky clots at the left, the fun is desperately trying to cut through the grey blanket of clouds to the middle right, and black trees can be seen at the bottom, making a contrast to the horizon which has a sliver of light orange to the right. The road is dark grey and a few cars can be seen with their lights on.
