I went back and forth with Hyundai for a few months. Eventually I tried the CEO email and got an executive case manager to get a Field Engineer to come out and look at the car. They drove it around the west burbs for like 4 hours with a bunch of wires connected to it, so maybe a fix is incoming!

@techconnectify.bsky.social since you posted about annoying Ioniq 5 issues recently... have you run into this one yet? The last two infotainment updates have had the animated arrows on the HUD point the wrong way at highway junctions about 30% of the time. 😅

Ultimately I had to plug in the Yubikey, wait for the PIN prompt to appear, unplug the Yubikey, wait for the on-screen keyboard to appear, type my PIN, plug the Yubikey back in, and then continue. 😵💫

USB passkey was the only remaining option, so I had to go in the closet and search for a USB-C to USB-A OTG adapter. Luckily, I had one. Once I got it plugged in it asks for a PIN while simultaneously disabling the keyboard because the Yubikey is plugged in...

It couldn't log in to my account via my old phone for some unknown reason, and logging in via passkey is basically impossible. QR code login did nothing. NFC passkey didn't work.
