This, my time travel idea:-
I pitched the time travel story to my brother. Who gave me some extra ideas for stuff that would be available at the time. Sure, it's only 43 yrs into the past, but 1981 would seem like a long time ago to people who weren't alive then. The rules of time travel are: You can't meet yourself or your family. You can't go home. You can only use what you have with you when you go, you also don't know you'll be ending up 43 yrs ago so you haven't prepared for that. You have to survive the 6 months it takes the time travel device to recharge. That's finding food & somewhere to sleep every day for 6 months. Could you survive?

There Is No Planet B, By Ray Daley. (C) 23rd Sept 2014. (from a reddit prompt) We sent a bunch of missions, just about fifty-three, Fired ’em off all off into space, bound for Planet B. Built those rockets; built ’em good, Named from A to Zee, Shot them into darkest space, Aimed at Planet B. We’ve been sending missions there since 1963, Hoping we find a sign of life on good old Planet B. We looked out with our telescopes, and guess what did we see? We killed all our astronauts, there IS no Planet B.

The Haze By Ray Daley 10/6/17. It’s easy to get bewildered or flustered, Your mind goes like custard, but don’t taste as good. You don’t recall every last detail like you once could. It’s easy to fall in a spiked pit of doubt, You just can’t get out, But you feel like you ought, Your tries come to nought. Trying picking your battles, just win ones you’ve fought. That’s why; I say with a sigh, It’s easy to get bewildered or flustered, Your thoughts thick like mustard, but don’t taste as good. You wish you were younger, that’s understood. Trying thinking, not drinking, your mind’s simply sinking, Your memories are blinking away, like fifty a day. They’re gone and forgotten, your brain has gone rotten, The truth it be told, You’re just getting old. THE END

They hunt us. They kill us. The child is only 1000 years old, how can she possibly understand having lived such a short & sheltered existance. They will find out, they will find us. They will come with torches burning, pitchforks raised. No questions will be asked. I must kill another stupid human. Again.

No Stones Allowed, A Flash Fiction story by Raymond Daley "No Stones Allowed!" The sign was clear enough. It had stood at the dockside since the founding of the island. Every child was brought to see it, it's meaning explained clearly and thoroughly. No-one would ever dream of disobeying it. to do so would mean disaster. Or would they? Tourism was common enough on the island, it had plenty of visitors from the mainland. Generally the sign was explained on the boat journey across the cove. People obeyed. Whether it was to humour the locals or because they saw no reason not to, either way people obeyed. It takes a lot to panic men of science. At the institute there was panic, the level on the master gauge was rising, and not just by a little. "I don't understand, why is the level rising so quickly?" "The island is sinking, that's why!" "But we've had tourists before, it's never risen so quickly in such a short time before!" Teams were sent to check on the latest batch of tourists t
