Australian. Here to be educated. All views (anti CCP, fascist/ totalitarian/ authoritarian. Pro transition to renewable energy, green industries, circular economy, rich biodiverse environment, inclusive, compassionate and educated society) my own.
Oops! I did it again!

Those tickets would be pretty hard to get now.

Right. The value of processing iron ore to green iron is roughly on par with the value of processing green iron to green steel. That's great to know.
January 13, 2026 at 6:13 AM
Thanks for the education. To an amateur such as myself, is the value add from turning iron ore into green iron sufficient to make Australia prosperous? or is the REAL value add, from turning green iron to green steel?

More specifically, what are our unique strengths and abilities that China doesn't have or replicate easily?
January 13, 2026 at 4:29 AM
Thanks for the link to the short IDC video. These are very good points and issues we (Australia) need to consider. Noting the resource scale and speed that China can bring to dominate the green iron industry, what can Australia do to maximise our chance of success in this industry?

Great article, thanks for sharing.

The fruits of hubris and a fool.

Fair question.

Well deserved memes! Thanks for the chuckle.

Maybe I am just old but that's not for me. It seems to trivialise what is a very serious threat to the Federal Reserve.

NATO doesn't have to end. It just had to change to NATO -1.

To be fair, mums do love their wine, be they red or white, chilled or room temperature. They're not bigots.

Indeed!

In fact, all open societies (not just the UK, Canada and Australia) need to come together and aggressively push hack against these big tech companies. About time all multinational companies serve the interests of the community they are in and not just their shareholders.

Fine words. You don't need to convince us. You need to convince more of your Democrat Senators, especially Schumer, to loudly resist Trump and get on the front line with all the protesters! Time for fine words is over. Time for active, peaceful resistance is now!

Thanks for this.

Everyone knows Kamala has been out golfing every. single. day. since becoming president in January 2025.
January 10, 2026 at 10:45 PM
That sounds awfully complicated for a non IT person like me. Do you have a link to a website that shows you how to do it?
January 10, 2026 at 10:40 PM
Agree. The CCP deserves credit for going all in on renewable energy and the resulting green industries leadership. I just hope that Australia will be well placed to weather any future CCP coercion when it occurs.
January 9, 2026 at 3:24 AM
Apologies, I meant your comments re Australian values v the current US administration mindset.
January 9, 2026 at 2:28 AM
Agree 100% your comments re Australian values the current US administration mindset. To be clear, China's Foreign Ministry works in the interests of the Chinese Communist Party, not the Chinese people. Those words are just motherhood statements.
January 9, 2026 at 2:27 AM
Agree. Including Sth Korea, Japan, NZ, Taiwan etc.
January 8, 2026 at 6:09 AM
Ooh...I see what you did there...LOL.
January 7, 2026 at 11:29 PM
Yes we do. Not only like Russia but also like the Chinese Communist Party... only except without the great infrastructure and clean energy credentials.
