Five years ago today and 10,776 days after Wimbledon’s football club last played a home game at Plough Lane, AFC Wimbledon drew 2-2 with Doncaster Rovers inside our new stadium (sadly behind closed doors due to COVID-19). But we did it. We brought the Dons home 💙💛

My next scheduled Plough Lane stadium tour is Friday 14 March at 1200. Won’t be as busy as this one with Hans Segers but you’ll go behind the scenes and have the chance to check out the new museum. Get tickets now! tickets.afcwimbledon.ltd.uk/selection/ti...

Hotel receptionist kindly let us into our room two hours earlier than the planned check-in, so made the most of the extra time to have a good look around Nice. And after five miles of walking, a well-earned drink 😊

FT 2-0. Wasn’t pretty but it was all about getting the three points and keeping in touch at the top. And we’ve done that. Job done.

After two recent postponements AFC Wimbledon are finally back in action today and a first Plough Lane fixture in 2025. Allow a bit more time for your matchday journey due to road and rail disruption but bring your voices. Three points against lowly Tranmere are a must! 🔵🟡

A photo from 10 July 2002. When we went to revisit the FA, gatecrashed an EFL Chairmen’s protest and most then went on to AFC Wimbledon’s inaugural friendly at Sutton United and were later shocked when a certain someone here took Pete Winkelman’s twenty pieces of silver and moved to Buckinghamshire.

Perhaps inviting Steve wouldn’t have been in the wider interests of football? #Karma

Club did everything it could to get the game on but the last two nights have been bitterly cold.

A win at Fleetwood tomorrow will regain our second place while a draw puts us up to third. But most of all I hope the game goes ahead to reward the hardy Dons fans who have already travelled to the North West or hold expensive train/coach tickets. Be kind to them weather gods! 🙏

50 years ago today, heroics from Dickie Guy helped Wimbledon become the first non-league side to win away at a top flight club in the FA Cup for 54 years when a Mick Mahon goal knocked out Burnley at Turf Moor. The Dons reward was a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United. 🔵🟡

I’d rather watch Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth

After a long day and evening at football yesterday (ten hours at Plough Lane) having a quiet one tonight, so Happy New Year to everyone and hope 2025 brings you health and happiness. See you on the other side🍷

I said the Football Gods owed us something after two shocking decisions cost us four points recently, so while that will be no consolation to Gillingham, two big calls went in our favour to help us go second. Huge win, with Bugiel, Lewis, Ball, Hippolyte and Maycock all missing. We go up to second!

We lost this great man 15 years ago today. Allen Batsford. Always remembered. Never forgotten.

Every Christmas morning Spike Milligan would telephone Jesus College, Cambridge. When the porter answered, Spike would ask "Is that Jesus?" When told that it was, he would then wish them a happy birthday…

The old adage that Christmas presents get smaller the older you get is so true. Off to see the granddaughters today, they get the bigger boxes while their Mummy and Daddy are getting the ones wrapped in blue…

Good luck to the Dons at Chesterfield today, not a happy hunting ground for us as we haven’t scored there in five attempts in both the WFC/AFCW eras, although Wally Downes goal at Saltergate in 1981 should have stood, but the referee thought his shot rebounded off a post and not the back of the net!
