When Chelsea beat us at home few years back, I was in the Horatia on the Holloway Rd a good hour after the match, a family were sat by the window eating a meal and an absolute oaf of a Chelsea fan banged on the window and gave them a load of abuse.

I always think about him at times like this.

But…but…I heard he was rubbish

Thank you for fighting the good fight on this, it must feel overwhelming at times. Fortunately, gambling isn’t one of my (several) vices but its devastating impact is clear. Utterly wrong that it’s been allowed to permeate the game to the extent it has.

And as ever, any “records” set by City post-01/09/2008 are completely null and void due to their demonstrable cheating.

Much like Ben Johnson’s 9.79 second “world record” in 1988 was struck from the record. Literally no difference.

When taken with the NSOT run earlier in the season, what we produce defensively with Saliba and Gabby both in the team is nothing short of phenomenal.

Completely agree re playing with freedom / handbrake off outside of the PL. Also, bringing Gyokeres on to run at defenders in the second half - feels blindingly obvious so not sure why we’ve not seen it more in recent games when we’ve had another option (or previously with Merino starting).

And that was a match in which we were doubly robbed with pens given / not given.

Absolutely. It amazes me that more isn’t said about Chelsea’s and City’s hugely detrimental impact on the game for this exact reason. Obviously I’m bitter as an Arsenal fan as they’ve no doubt denied us so much glory but the behaviour of their owners has had such a malignant impact everywhere.

Don’t like to focus on the negative but…yet another hammy…kind of mind-blowing.

Fair play to Slot.

Whilst I think Arteta’s / the team’s approach to the match at Anfield can be justified, especially in the context of that point in the season, today could not. The stadium was rocking and the team managed to suck the life out of it by half time. Still, 6 points clear at least.

Yep, time to go full jugular

Sorry to hear this, sounds horrific. I was momentarily confused by ‘expensive’ then realised you must be in The States - my God, as a Brit I can’t imagine going through this then being landed with a colossal bill (or any bill, for that matter). Hope you’re fully fixed now.
January 6, 2026 at 7:35 PM
But I’ve heard he’s shit!😂
January 4, 2026 at 4:50 PM
So it’s happened more than one in three seasons then?
January 4, 2026 at 7:48 AM
Another big three points but my god, I think it was Graeme Le Saux on co-commentary who was absolutely insufferable.
January 3, 2026 at 8:19 PM
Completely agree
January 3, 2026 at 6:26 PM
Wow, respectfully, we must be watching a different game.
January 3, 2026 at 6:24 PM
Honestly, I sometimes feel I’m the only one bagging this particular drum (which is mind-blowing) so it’s great to be able to point to analysis like this. Thank you!

🤦‍♂️

I’m struggling to understand and therefore respond to this. I’ll try again - Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool etc earned the money they now spend over decades of gradual, organic growth. City and Chelsea were bang-average, mid table / relegation-fodder who had billions dropped on them.

Martinelli absolutely electric…Injury Gods: “hold our mother fuckin’ beers”

Great to see these donations - the example you set is genuinely inspiring. If all organisations donated (or at least paid tax) as proportionally as you do, then the world would be a better place. Bravo for putting your money where your mouth is. Always.
