I completely understand what you’re saying and it’s extremely valid. I think for the most part Canada doesn’t care about what the victim of an attack’s identity is, our identity of being a country that helps others in times of crisis is stronger. Hope you’re well, friend!

Omg thank you for reminding me about that gem of a film! Have you seen La Grande Seduction? They made it in French first and then remade in English (the French is better lol) but I believe it’s also set in NFLD — or at least out East.
