I read somewhere where someone had the brilliant idea that each year the world’s wealthiest person loses all of their wealth. Now that would be a fantastic leveller. Monthly would be an option worth exploring as well

Never really thought of it before but schools are ideal for solar panels. Full occupancy occurs during daylight hours, reducing the need for storage capacity.

Having an extra few high end renovation jobs a year won’t cover the extreme rent increases. Ireland has now become a tinderbox of nationalism as a result

I’ll agree that the wrath is directed towards the wrong people. Take a look at Ireland. It came from what was next to a third world country in the 70s to close to top of the GDP/capita league now. Has the government used any of that GDP to solve the resulting housing issues ? No

That’s a bit of a simplistic take. When people with vastly more wealth move to an area house prices rise dramatically. That prices the locals out of the area. It doesn’t matter about the few extra dollars/euros/pounds that are added to the local economy for a short period of time.

It benefits Mexican GDP not the average Mexican. It’s the same populism that has infected America for the same reasons.

People seem to think binary absolutes (dead or survived). In this case 80% of her kids survived the disease so it can’t be the disease it must be the child, god’s will or whatever. There’s no thought about viral load, secondary infections or whatever. This lack of knowledge gets exploited.
