Stargazer, firefly watcher, baseball scorekeeper. Constant reader, occasional reviewer (find me on storygraph - https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile/raxxq). Less frequently found in parked cars with sleeping children. Likely knitting.
I’ve only ever used an egg (or anything else round-ish and smooth) and scrap yarn. That’s worked out pretty well so far for me.

I think that’s part of the trust. But… I don’t read “groundbreaking” fiction, as a rule.

The instructor said ending on the climax is generally not a satisfying experience for the reader because nothing is resolved. My response (to the class chat) was “as a reader, that’s the agreement between me and the author/publisher - you get my time/money, I get a satisfying story”.

I was in a writing class yesterday and one of the other participants said “but why do we neeeeeed to use the three act structure? Why can’t I end on the climax?”

After a decade of travelers notebook style bullet journaling (I used a hobonichi cousin in 24 and a kinbor (hobonichi knockoff) this year. As someone else said, it reduced friction for me. Mine are very bare bones, with some sketches and paintings. I’m switching back to travelers notebook for 26.

I mean. I could do as much damage with a pen or pencil as I could with a knitting needle or a knife. Not me personally, you understand. But someone with the required knowledge.

For serious, mine doesn’t like double decker busses?! I hope they choose right when I get to the fountain pen.

Well that sucks considering my kids’ school district manages all the student access via chrome. I wonder if they can toggle it off at the admin level.

Please tell me more about the location of the bookshop side by side with the pen shop.

I have A Bloomy Head as a purchased ebook, I’d love if you pass that copy along to someone you think might enjoy it.

I’ve also read Heated Rivalry. I generally have a “one book per author per month” rule, lest I burn out on an authors writing style, so it’s slow going through her catalogue. Something about The Shots You Take hit me just right, I think it had to do with the fact that they’re older characters.

The shading on that green is gorgeous!

lol I was too focused on the pen nib to pay any attention to his thumb. Gross.

Yeah, but what is happening with the nib on that one?

I got a preppy with blue ink as a promo the other day and I’ve really been enjoying it!
