They always insist "Edelgard is like all the other past bad emperors!" but they never offer any evidence that the Empire is doing anything remotely similar to the stuff Grado, Daein, or Nohr did.

Oh, and Yuri's King of Shambhala now since he married and banged Reyna's OC. What he did to become their king other than marry a woman who just happened to be Agarthan is a mystery for the ages, at most he should be Prince Consort but this is an anti-Edelgard fanfic.

That's the point, anon. That's the whole ass point. Bernie's supports open with her interlocutor being too aggressive in trying to help her, making an ass of themselves, and trying to apologize, followed by them genuinely helping Bernie open up after the reconciliation.
