I'd like to stand up some evening and announce to the house, "I'll be retiring to my study to write. I'm not to be disturbed".
But I don't have a study. I have a shed. Announcing that I'll be retiring to my shed, doesn't have the same bougie ring to it.

One of the real-life characters in my book is a buxom fortune teller. The chapter is as close as I get to a coming of age story.

Editing is going slow. Rhonda has marks on every paragraph and many of them have the dreaded message "re-write". 🥺 Only about 200 more pages to go!

I took a break from writing to make a bunch of walking sticks to give away locally. A couple of them got an Indian head nickel inlay. I think they are the coolest coins ever minted!
