I just finished Of Deeds Most Valiant by Sarah K. L. Wilson and it is an excellent book.

It is about paladins and their angst and I have always been a sucker for good paladin stories. Good love story, good story exploring faith, and the dog lives. That might be a spoiler, but is important to know.

There is a kind of tropical 7-up that is mango-peach flavored and it's really good. I just tried it today.
I recommend it if you like any of the flavors and 7-up of course.
I don't drink a lot of soda, but when I do it is always sugar free because I'm getting old and trying to be healthier.

I like to read romances on occasion and I recently found a really good one - Into the Storm by Rachel Grant. Everyone is an adult and no one is stupid. No one is abusive and the relationship is not filled with red flags. Archeologist and Navy SEALs in the woods fighting terrorists.

The Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate flavored coffee creamer is good too. Tastes just like the Abuelita chocolate which I recommend if you can find it.
It is basically slightly spicy chocolate? I don't know how to describe it well. Cinnamon and chocolate for sure and not spicy in a burny way.

So Caramel Apple Crisp coffee creamer exists and it made my day better!
It is probably not going to be a hit with everyone. If you like those suckers and caramels that come out around Halloween that are caramel-apple flavored you will probably also like it. That is the taste.

This is what it looks like. This is a google image and not our car because our car is covered in dusty cat prints. They LOVE it.
It is taller than anything I have ever driven, but I like it.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Y'all!
I hope you have the best day no matter what you celebrate. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
And enjoy this grumpy child that depicts how I feel with all the cleaning and cooking. XD

I started this with an orphan who has a harsh upbringing and I'm ending it with the same. This book was written several years after Jane Eyre though. I loved Sara and her desire to rise above the utter bitch who runs the school. I like her fake it until you make it attitude to get through hard times

Of course there is more than one cat book in my list. Imagine Han Solo was a lady and also a fluffy white cat. Instead of Chewbacca she has a figlet who is a sentient vegetable that has to wear a helmet to breathe at all times. Throw in more swashbuckling and romance. That is this wonderful book.

They have changed the order of these books. When I was a kid, this one was #1 even though The Magician's Boy happened earlier chronologically. Anyway, I loved these books and Narnia. I loved the descriptions of the world and the Christian themes never bothered me. I didn't even notice them.

So this series eventually gets repetitive and kind of stupid, but I loved the first couple books. Ayla is an interesting character (before she becomes a giant Mary Sue that can do everything) and I loved the descriptions of cave man life. I loved the flint knapping and the healing herbs etc.

Dianna Wynne Jones also wrote Howl's Moving Castle. All her books are good. This is the very first one I ever read. Good Read's says the children are all awful, but I read this when I was also in 6th grade. To me the kids were all like me and my peers and I liked them. Make of that what you will.

This book is a very good historical novel set in the 1500s with some magic thrown in. Kate is sent to a remote estate for political reasons. Tragedy hangs over the house. Kate gets captured by weird people who live under the ground who commit human sacrifice every few years.

I read this when I was about 12, so the same age as the members of the Loser's Club. It made a big impression on me because it was scary as hell. I really liked this story. I think Stephen King is really good with making interesting and believable characters.

So this one really pushes the myth of the unspoiled natural child that was popular at the time it was written. However it still manages to be a very charming book. Heidi is orphaned and goes to live on the mountain with her hermit grandfather. She loves living free with the goats.

I feel like throwing another old art at you just for grins.
I like the colors on this but I wonder what I was thinking about her outfit. Why is she wearing a miniskirt and no tights in the snow? Also why didn't I use clothing references? I have no clue. 2016 was apparently a weird year for me.
