What they should be doing is letting them wear t-shirts. Right now these underpaid soldiers are walking around the Mall in 90 degree heat in heavy uniforms and body armor, just in case some tourist family waiting in line at the Smithsonian pulls out AKs. It's just absurd, very expensive, theater.
