May you be ruthful, gormful and gruntled.
But how long will we have to wait? The gameplay wasn’t even alpha, which suggests it could be 5 years away.

What they want is a data centre that’s not subject to the jurisdiction of any legal system. Wonder why…?

Actually it has to do with (trigger warning) rapists. Juries frequently produce bizarre decisions when it comes to rape trials, so the defence almost always demands a jury trial because they know they stand little chance of acquittal with a Judge. This reform has been planned for at least 15 years.

You’re not wrong. I’m not saying Labour are less intelligent than other politicians (though 70% failed a basic maths test a few years ago) and I’m sure the parties are as bad as each other in having fallen for the AI lobby. I’m also not suggesting they’re setting themselves up for post-MP employment

That’s the same in the UK. While our courts do generally see the danger, our government has a huge blind spot when it comes to AI.

I should probably have written “power armour that’s white” instead of what I actually wrote, which may attract a more Twitter audience…

Sadly no. One of the justice ministers gave a speech a few weeks ago at a legal event and said they’d launch a consultation on the issue.
I assume, since they think the sun shines out of AI’s backside, that they’ll also remove the right to appeal, because AI can’t be seen as fallible.

If that worries you, you’re going to have a very bad day when you hear Labour’s plan to replace Judges with AI…
(I wish I were kidding.)

I invested a lot of time in the ‘muted words’ list to get a lot of the US politics out of my timeline, and I never ever go on ‘Discover’ for that very reason.
But at least here it’s usually a better take on their politics than in…the other place.
