And it's true, as far as it goes. I don't think most people know what he is doing; no one can believe anything he says, and he tries very hard to never explain what he wants to do in any detail. For them to examine what he is doing would be hard, and sunk cost means they really don't want to know.

Yes, though it's been a while since I talked politics with them.

I don't think this is right. I think that people are misled, combined with skewed voting districts he cultivates the image of popularity, even inevitability, draining opponents. I don't think anyone really likes trump. He's just a useful idiot.

Or they get voted out for passing it. This is not a popular bill. The problem is money. I am convinced that voting is no longer enough. Voting maps are redrawn, eligibility to vote is restricted. Perhaps being born here may not be enough. Trump is the return of the monarchy.

It's just so stupid. How can they vote for this bill? It's like they want the US to become Russia. They won't stop until we are all peasants.

I have to ask, why this one? I feel like there were hundreds of these. I must have read like 20 of them.

I have not re-read the book. I might do so, but I actually stopped reading until I took a course in formal logic when I got to the chapter that has the MIU logic challenge. That was years ago. Needless to say it took me a long time to really grasp what he was talking about. Now with LLM's, I smile.

This is probably the book that influenced me the most. I feel that it's a book that you will either understand and love it, or it will just float by as something too abstract and difficult to grasp. I think he is my favorite author now.

I'm not sure this stands up to reason. The Internet contains everything, much more than any human can handle, so logically we filter down that information. Since we get to choose what we want to hear, you rely on people to challenge their own ideas. And they don't. Internet don't change that.
