I really like that there is this undercurrent of indie games that just trusts you to be smart enough to figure it out yourself.

And when you do the game doesn't go "good job!" but goes "Cool right??Omg wait till you see this!"

There's a real dialogue happening between the player and the designers.

might be just me but, quite often, I will watch someone play a game I like before I play it myself.

I think i would just get overwhelmed if I jumped straight into playing DELTARUNE myself first.

one can imagine though, that this would detract a lot from the experience - yet, I still prefer it.
