as an aside i've actually been enjoying reading through this stuff and coming up with a conceptual model in my head for how i could accomplish certain things.. embedded seems fun in a difficult-to-solve puzzle kind of way and (so far) i'm really into it

honestly yeah, was somewhat surprised to see the content itself doesn't quite reach 200 pages! plus the chunk of references / appendices

something i'm curious about: iirc one of the theories posited was that the way videos are being *served* changed, but if that were the case, shouldn't there be some sort of variance in the raw like count? i would expect it to be higher if that's something they're weighing more now, yk
