He then got a book on “fighting” because that’s what he could think of, and after leveling up, he multiclassed into fighting… just beautiful

To be fair, that was the deal for the card when it was made months ago. But it is a bad reward, especially if you don’t live near, or like the pirates.

I’m excited to hear that, I do plan on getting through them all this year, but I’m going to take breaks between series to make sure I hit other books I want to get to this year

That cover gives me so much anxiety!

Yeah, I was hoping to like it more, and maybe on a reread I would, where I know where everything is heading and I can be aware of everything from the start.

I finished it yesterday. I thought it was fine. I think there is some deeper perspective that could be taken from the book, but I also don't feel smart enough for that lol. I thought it was fine, but it's not something I would tell my wife is "must read"

As long as that’s how it’s supposed to make you feel… lol

I was so incredibly lost when I picked the book up and felt overwhelmed. However, just keep going, you get questions answered as you go... maybe not in that book, but they start to trickle in. It's fun to reread the prelude after you've learned more about the heralds.

I think no matter what, you want to start with Mistborn, however, the question becomes, do you want to go full out on the Cosmere (kind of like his MCU), or do you want to break it up?

It's daunting, but I've yet to be disappointed. I'm about 400 pages into the new book and have read the rest.
