Thats the best type of editing when you don't feel time go by. I've just started working on a documentary. And the biggest thing I get lost in is the creative story telling. What kind of videos are you working on?

This is one of my reasons for getting into video editing. You're consistantly learning something new and I fall in love with it everytime.

If you're looking for footage to work on edit stock is a good one for making films/docs/trailers. Or you could use pexel thats more just random footage if you wanna make like a commercial.

Go for it. Work on what makes you happy. Best not to make it too tedious by learning everything all at once just learn the basics otherwise it can become mundane when you first jump in. Good luck✌️

Yeah that can be really tough considering the fact you're also making the video. If it takes any load off you I reccomend using an encoder to transcode your videos before editing them. Media encoder and shutter encoder are my reccomendations. Speeds up load times tremendously.✌️😁hope this helps

Personally I use premier. But if you're looking to save some pennies I say go for Davinci resolved. They have a free version. Hope this helps goodluck with your edits✌️
